Report: Dario Šarić will play next season for 76ers
Croatian star Dario Šarić will play next season for the Philadelphia 76ers, reports Eurohopes’ Vedran Modrić.
Šarić’s father reportedly confirmed the news Wednesday.
The 6'10" forward was a first round selection in the 2014 draft by the Orlando Magic. He was traded to the 76ers later that night.
Šarić had signed with Sarc Anadolu Efes S.K. in Turkey three days before the draft, and though the 76ers attempted to buy him out, his buyout was deemed too expensive for the team.
Šarić has a player option in his contract, which will allow him to join the NBA next season.
With Anadolu Efes this season, Šarić is averaging 11.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 0.4 blocks per game through seven contests.
