NBA commissioner Adam Silver spoke with SI’s Chris Mannix for his NBC Sports Radio show in an interview that can be heard on this week’s edition of Open Floor, SI’s NBA podcast.

Silver and Mannix discussed a variety of topics, including the woes of the 76ers and the dominance of the Warriors. Mannix asked the commissioner about his reported role in Philadelphia’s hiring of Jerry Colangelo.

“Let me make it absolutely clear, this was entirely Josh Harris’s decision,” Silver said. “Josh, of course, is the principal owner of the 76ers, and I know he consulted with his partners as well. The role I played was to make the introduction from Josh to Jerry and Jerry back to Josh. There was no arm twisting. There were no other owners calling me.”

Mannix also asked Silver about advertisements on jerseys, the upcoming collective bargaining negotiations with the players union and whether the NBA has a private jet for him. The full interview can be heard below.
