Watch: Kings’ Rudy Gay posterizes Rockets’ Patrick Beverley
Watch Rudy Gay of the Sacramento Kings posterize Houston’s Patrick Beverley.
In a strange game that featured fan ejections, multiple technical fouls and Drake sitting courtside, Rudy Gay put the finishing touches on the Sacramento Kings’ 107–97 win over the Houston Rockets with a monster slam over Patrick Beverley.
After Omri Casspi blocked a James Harden jumper, Gay grabbed the loose ball and took it up the floor in transition. He gave it up to Casspi, got it back around the free throw line and took off, at Beverley’s expense. And-one.
Why he tried to take a charge is anyone’s guess, but credit Beverley’s effort on a night that featured an lackluster display from the Rockets in general. Hate that it had to be him.
Gay finished with 17 points and 13 rebounds in the win.
