Detroit Pistons recall point guard Brandon Jennings from D-League
The Detroit Pistons have recalled point guard Brandon Jennings from the NBA Development League, the team announced Sunday.
Jennings was playing for the Grand Rapids Drive as part of a rehab assignment. He tore his left Achilles on Jan. 24, and played in his first basketball game since the injury Saturday.
Jennings, a former 10th overall pick, was thriving for the the Pistons under coach Stan Van Gundy last season. The guard was averaging 15.4 points in just under 29 minutes per game before sustaining his injury.

Since then, the Pistons acquired and signed point guard Reggie Jackson to a long-term contract, and forward Greg Monroe left in free agency.
The Pistons’ next game is on Tuesday against the Miami Heat.
