Jordan Clarkson’s powerful one-handed slam on Sunday night sent the Lakers bench in to a frenzy that included a mock resuscitation on Nick Young.

Clarkson beat Ronnie Price off the dribble and drove through the paint before stuffing the ball home over Alex Len.

Los Angeles won 97–77 to send Phoenix to its ninth straight loss. Clarkson scored 12 points and added a team-high seven assists for L.A. Lou Williams dropped a game-high 30 points in Kobe Bryant’s absence. Bryant sat out Sunday with a sore shoulder.

Bryant may have been the source behind Clarkson’s thunderous slam. Clarkson shared Bryant’s interesting advice after the game.

“All I remember was Kobe telling me that I’ve been going to the hole like a light-skinned dude,” Clarkson said, according to ESPN’s Baxter Holmes. “So I’ve got to start doing it like a dark-skinned [dude]. So when I seen the lane opened up, that’s all I remember.”

Lakers players weren’t the only one having a good night against the listless Suns. A fan even hit a half-court shot to win $95,000. The Lakers sent out a press release saying the fan, David Moya, will use part of the money to see Bryant’s final home game.
