Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant left Tuesday’s game against the Pelicans with a sore right Achilles and did not return. He played 16 minutes, scoring seven points on 3-of-9 shooting before exiting.
The 37-year-old missed the team’s last game, a loss to the Jazz on Sunday, due to the same ailment. It comes almost two years after he suffered a season-ending left Achilles tear in April 2013.
Bryant, who is playing in his final NBA season, has also been dealing with a sore right shoulder, which kept him out for three games earlier this month.
