Watch: Knicks’ Robin Lopez ejected for scuffle with Clippers’ Chris Paul
Midway through the third quarter Friday evening, New York Knicks center Robin Lopez and Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul tangled underneath the Knicks’ basket. As Paul flailed his arms in the direction of Lopez’s head, the big man ended up smacking Paul in the face twice, busting open his lip and drawing blood.
Clippers center DeAndre Jordan stepped in between the two players, shoving Lopez and Knicks forward Kristaps Porzingis in the process.
After taking several minutes to review the sequence and drawing boos from the restless Madison Square Garden crowd, the officiating crew gave Paul and Jordan a technical foul and whistled Lopez for two technicals, disqualifying him for the remainder of the contest.
