In their book, This Is Your Brain on Sports: The Science of Underdogs, the Value of Rivalry, and What We Can Learn from the T-Shirt Cannon, L. Jon Wertheim and Sam Sommers attempted to evaluate NFL players' leadership skills using just a photograph. The result? Quarterbacks were rated the strongest leaders, even though none of the raters knew the faces belonged to QBs. 

Could a simple head shot really convey enough information for raters effectively to differentiate players by position? To put that theory to the test we've expanded to the hardwood.

Below are 15 NBA player head shots. We want you to rate each player's leadership skills using just that head shot (five is the highest grade for leadership; one is the lowest). Will point guards—the floor general—rank higher on the leadership scale than forwards? We'll reveal the results of the poll (and the positions of the players) on Wednesday.
