Rockets’ Dwight Howard suspended one game for contact with official
Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard has been suspended one game for making contact with an official, the NBA announced Tuesday.
Howard was ejected from Saturday’s game against the Washington Wizards after picking up his second technical foul for pushing Nene Hilario in the fourth quarter. Howard struck the arm of an official after earning the ejection.
Howard, who is tied for the NBA lead with 12 technical fouls, will miss Tuesday’s game against the Miami Heat. The center has been ejected from each of the Rockets’ last two games.

Rockets coach J.B. Bickerstaff was also fined $10,000 for comments critical of the referees after the loss to the Wizards.
The Rockets had lost three games in a row entering Tuesday.
