Report: Pistons acquire Motiejunas, Thornton from Rockets
The Detroit Pistons have acquired Donatas Motiejunas and Marcus Thornton in a trade with the Houston Rockets, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.
Detroit will send Houston center Joel Anthony and a protected first-round pick in 2016 draft, according to the report.
This is the second trade in the past week for the Pistons, who recently acquired Tobias Harris in a trade with the Orlando Magic. The Pistons are currently 27–27 and in ninth place in the Eastern Conference.
Motiejunas is averaging 5.6 points and 2.1 rebounds per game this season. Thornton is averaging 10 points and 2.4 rebounds in just over 18 minutes per game.
