Miami Heat point guard Beno Udrih will have surgery on his right foot and miss the rest of the season, reports The Vertical’s Shams Charania.
Udrih injured his foot in the first half of Miami’s win over Indiana on Monday. The Heat acquired the point guard in a trade with Memphis earlier this season.
Udrih, 33, is averaging 4.4 points and 2.5 assists per game in 2015–16, serving as Miami’s backup point guard. The Heat are also without guard Tyler Johnson for the rest of the season.

Rookie Josh Richardson could see more playing time in Udrih’s absence. Miami entered Wednesday in third place in the Eastern Conference.
