Nineteen-year-old basketball recruit Thon Maker will attempt to enter the 2016 NBA draft, he announced in a video for Bleacher Report. The NBA will now determine his eligibility.
The Sudanese seven-footer graduated high school in Canada last June, and has technically been playing in his fifth year of high school. For this reason, he reportedly thinks he will be declared eligible.

St. John’s, Indiana, Notre Dame, Arizona State, Kansas and UNLV were all in the running to land Maker before his announcement.
