Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban told reporters that Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook is not a superstar.
“I think he’s an All-Star but not a superstar,” Cuban said.
Westbrook, who was fined $25,000 by the NBA on Sunday for cursing at a fan during Game 4 of his team’s playoff series with the Mavs, was the NBA’s scoring champion in 2015. The 27-year-old is also a five-time All-Star and four-time All-NBA second-team selection.
“Russell’s certainly an All-Star, but I consider [Kevin] Durant a superstar,” Cuban added. “You look at Dirk [Nowitzki] all those years to now, he carries teams to 50 wins. To me, that’s [what makes a superstar].”

The Thunder beat Dallas on Monday night to advance to the second round.
After the game, Durant called Cuban “an idiot” for making the remarks.
Nowitzki was also asked about his owner’s comments and said of Westbrook, “I’d take him.”
