Heat announce Chris Bosh will miss playoffs
Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh will miss the rest of the playoffs, he and the team announced Wednesday.
Bosh has missed every game since Feb. 9 due to the reoccurrence of a blood clot. Bosh had reportedly been pressuring the team to let him back on the court, even asking the players’ union to intervene on his behalf.
Bosh went through a similar medical situation last year, when a blood clot traveled from his leg to his lung, ending his season and leading to his hospitalization.
The forward has released a statement last month saying he was “positive” he would return to the court this season, though the team has reportedly been very cautious about letting him play.
