After the Oklahoma City Thunder handled the Spurs at home in Game 4 to even the Western Conference semifinals series at 2–2, the teams move to San Antonio for a critical game 5.
Thunder star Kevin Durant matched his career playoff high for scoring in the game, dropping 41 points, including 29 in the first half. Durant was joined by three teammates who also scored in double figures, Dion Waiters (17), Steven Adams (16) and Russell Westbrook (14).
Tony Parker, Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge all scored at least 20 points for the Spurs, but San Antonio could not overcome a career-worst performance from center Tim Duncan. He finished with zero points and three rebounds in just 12 minutes.
