There are updates all around in Salt Lake City. The Utah Jazz today unveiled a “refreshed brand identity” for next season, showing off four modified uniforms, a new court design for Vivint Smart Home Arena and the new suite of Jazz logos, all embracing the tri-colored designs of navy, green and yellow.

The uniform package includes a home white, road blue, alternate green and a sleeved “pride” jersey in blue.

On the home uniform, the thick color blocking of navy, gold and green—an homage to the coloring of the trim on the classic Jazz uniforms and warmus—was modernized, the club says, and sliced at a 66-degree angle on both the jersey and the shorts. A new custom font was created, again with angles at 66 degrees, to mimic the cut of the primary Jazz logo.

The little extras on the uniforms include a tri-colored ball on the front waistband, the phrase “We Are Utah Jazz” in a new custom font and the word “Utah” embroidered on the back of the shorts. The road and alternate uniforms carry many of the same details, just with a fresh mix of colors.

The pride uniform—the first sleeved uniform in Jazz history—includes the J-note logo on the chest and large color-blocking stripes across the front and on the shorts.

For the logos, the Jazz wordmark was elevated to primary status, with the addition of the word Utah above. Utah also has a mix of partial logos, one with the wordmark sans Utah, one with just the J-Note and another with just the tri-colored ball that makes up the bottom of the J-Note.

The new secondary mark for Utah features a tri-colored ball inside a circle with the phrase Utah Jazz Basketball in the new custom font. This logo appears at the sideline of center court on the new Vivint Smart Home Arena floor, which also features the J-Note logos inside the 3-point line and the tri-colored ball at center court.

With so many updates unveiled at once, Utah feels refreshed.
