Mark Cuban says that he is willing to run alongside either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton in the upcoming presidential election.
In an interview with Chuck Todd on Meet The Press on Sunday, where Cuban said he would “absolutely” consider running as Clinton’s vice president, the Dallas Mavericks owner also said he’d be willing to enter the race with Trump.
“You know, I’m an independent. And I’m fiercely independent and think for myself. And I’d have the same conversation for Donald,” Cuban said. “I think Donald has a real chance to win, and that’s scary to a lot of people.”
Last week, The Washington Post reported that anti–Trump Republicans, including Mitt Romney, tried to convince Cuban to run as a third–party candidate in order to block Trump from winning.
Cuban, who has no formal political experience, said in September that he could beat both Trump and Clinton if he ran for president.
