LeBron will pay Dahntay Jones’s $80 fine for his groin shot on Biyombo
LeBron James will pay Dahntay Jones’s $80 fine that came along with his one-game suspension for hitting Bismack Biyombo in the groin in Game 3, he told Cleveland.com.
On Sunday, the Cavaliers reserve was suspended for Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals for a groin shot on Biyombo at the end of Saturday’s 99–84 Game 3 loss.
Cleveland.com notes that Jones, who has a playoff salary of $8,800, was suspended without pay by the league, meaning that he will lose 1/110 of that amount.
With time winding down in regulation, Jones, who had just checked into the game, caught Biyombo between the legs with a right hand as he attempted to grab a rebound. This left Biyombo down on the ground in the pain for about a minute.

Jones has been at the center of controversy before during his 11-year career, most recently last March when he bumped Draymond Green during an interview.
He has played just 11 minutes over the first three games of the series.
