The 2016 NBA Finals features a rematch of last year’s title series between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors, with Game 2 set for Sunday at Oracle Arena in Oakland.
The Warriors dominated the Cavs, 104–89, in Game 1 on Thursday night to take a 1–0 series advantage behind impressive performances by members of Golden State’s bench. Shaun Livingston paced the Warriors with 20 points, while Leandro Barbosa added 11 points, and Andrew Bogut, Festus Ezeli and Andre Igoudala combined for an additional 24.
Kyrie Irving scored a game-high 26 points for Cleveland, while LeBron James and Kevin Love added 23 and 17 points, respectively, in the loss.
Golden State defeated Cleveland in six games last season for its first NBA title in 30 years. The Cavaliers are looking for their first NBA title in franchise history.
