Warriors executive board member and NBA Hall of Famer Jerry West claims that referees do not send Stephen Curry to the free throw line enough.

“He doesn’t get any calls at all [now],” West said at Warriors practice on Saturday, according to ESPN’s Baxter Holmes. “He gets no calls.”

West was answering a question about how Curry would play in the 1960s—a time that might have suited him better.

“He would’ve been great when we played,” West said. “He would’ve gotten knocked on his fanny a lot harder, but he also would’ve gotten to the free-throw line a little bit more.”

Curry attempted a career-high 400 free throws in 2015–16, which ranks outside the league’s top-20. James Harden led all players with 837 attempts, followed by DeMarcus Cousins with 663, DeMar DeRozan with 653 and DeAndre Jordan with 619.
