The NBA draft is next week, and the rumor mill continues to stay hot. With the pool of eligible players set, teams continue to conduct workouts and do their diligence evaluating prospects and preparing for the big night. The NBA Finals are in full swing, but draft prep is still moving along behind the scenes.
Ben Simmons and Brandon Ingram remain locked in as the consensus top two selections, and the Philadelphia 76ers are in the process of deciding which player to take first.

• The Minnesota Timberwolves are looking to trade the No. 5 pick for Chicago Bulls guard Jimmy Butler, reports Marc Stein of ESPN.
• The Philadelphia 76ers are not concerned that Simmons could skip his workout, reports Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer.
• Providence guard Kris Dunn will not be going through with private workouts before the draft, reports Chad Ford of ESPN.
• Sixers president of basketball operations Bryan Colangelo scouted three days of Eurocamp–the largest scouting event for international draft prospects–where he watched Croatian center Ante Zizic and French power forward Petr Cornelie play, reports NBA.com’s Scott Howard-Cooper. Both players are options for Philadelphia’s 24th and 26th picks in the draft.
