LeBron James and the Cavaliers returned home to Cleveland on Monday afternoon after winning the NBA Finals, and were greeted at the airport by throngs of adoring fans.
The Cavaliers took home their first title in franchise history by defeating the defending champion Golden State Warriors in seven games with James averaging 36.3 points, 11.7 rebounds, 9.7 assists, 2.3 blocks and 2.6 steals in the series.
The team arrived at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport just before 1 p.m. ET on Monday. James, wearing an Ultimate Warrior t-shirt, was among the last players to exit the plane and was holding the Larry O’Brien Trophy.

Thousands of fans were in attendance to greet the NBA champions.

The team will hold its official championship parade and rally on Wednesday. Details are still being finalized.
