Thunder guard Russell Westbrook could be traded “sooner rather than later,” reports Bleacher Report’s Howard Beck.
Westbrook could even be traded before the start of the 2016–17 season, according to Beck, with the Boston Celtics as his most likely destination.
Westbrook’s contract expires after this season. The Thunder could be looking to move the guard rather than lose him without any return, as happened with Kevin Durant this off-season.

The Celtics have been actively looking to trade for a star player with their bevy of draft picks and young players.
Westbrook, 27. averaged 23.5 points, 10.4 assists and 7.8 rebounds per game for the Thunder last season.
