Dallas Mavericks' Infamous Cowboy Shoot

Things were looking up for the Mavs in June, 2001 when SI assembled stars Dirk Nowitzki, Steve Nash, Michael Finley and Juwan Howard for a photo shoot. The team had just advanced to the second round of the playoffs for the first time since 1988 and owner Mark Cuban had the city excited about the team's future. So when we asked them all to pose for a cowboy-themed photo shoot, they were more than happy to oblige. Below are the outtakes from the shoot.
