Spurs star Kawhi Leonard is expected to play Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals against the Warriors on Sunday, ESPN's Michael C. Wright reports.
Leonard sprained his left ankle during Game 5 of the Spurs' series with the Rockets when he landed on . He left that game early and missed Thursday's Game 6 altogether, though Wright reports Leonard could have played Game 6 if necessary.
Leonard is averaging 27.8 points per game so far in the postseason. Jonathon Simmons started for Leonard on Thursday, scoring 18 points and helping San Antonio to a series-clinching 114–75 victory on the road.
