LeBron James Sends Taco Truck to Feed First Responders Fighting Getty Fire
LeBron James is sharing his love for Taco Tuesday with the first responders fighting the Getty Fire in Southern California.
James sent a taco truck to support Los Angeles firefighters, first responders and other partner agencies at their base camp on Tuesday.
"It's an amazing job what they do and their commitment with what's going on right now," James said of the first responders, per ESPN's Dave McMenamin.
James and his family are among thousands of Southern California residents who were forced to evacuate their homes on Monday after a wildfire broke out near the Getty Center in Los Angeles. The Lakers star tweeted early in the morning that he was driving around with his family looking for a place to get a room. After visiting three hotels, James and his family found somewhere to stay.
The Getty Fire has grown to over 650 acres and was 15% contained. Several fires have burned across California due to powerful winds. By Tuesday morning, the Kincade Fire near the San Francisco Bay area had scorched more than 75,000 acres.
