Nuggets to Sign Reggie Jackson Following Buyout by Hornets, per Report
Veteran point guard Reggie Jackson is poised to sign with the Nuggets after his contract was bought out by the Hornets, according ESPN.
Jackson was traded by the Clippers to Charlotte in exchange for Mason Plumlee ahead of Thursday’s trade deadline. After the deal, Jackson hit the market, and it looks as if he will be joining the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference.
The 32-year-old is averaging 10.9 points, 2.2 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game this season and will be a welcome addition in Denver. The Nuggets are 39–18 on the year and have a four-game lead ahead of Memphis atop the Western Conference standings.
This will be Jackson’s fourth NBA team. He was selected by the Thunder in the 2011 NBA draft and was traded to the Pistons in 2015. He was waived in February 2020 and signed with the Clippers soon afterward.
