Nuggets star Nikola Jokić said he has ‘zero interest’ in Tuesday’s MVP announcement when asked what his expectations are for the award’s reveal.

This season’s NBA MVP race is between Jokić, Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo and 76ers’ Joel EmbiidJokić won the award the last two seasons and has put up a strong case for a three-peat this season. However, he didn’t seem too fazed by the upcoming announcement.

“I don’t really think about it,” Jokić said. “Like zero interest.”

The Nuggets are in the midst of their second-round series against the Suns. The team won Game 1 on Monday night and has Tuesday night off. Since the center has “zero interest” in this year’s race, he already has other plans.

“Hopefully, it’s going to be a sunny day, so I can be in the swimming pool,” Jokić said.

In his fifth-consecutive All-Star season, Jokić averaged 24.5 points, 11.8 rebounds, 9.8 assists and 1.3 steals per game.
