The projected No. 1 pick in next week’s NBA draftVictor Wembanyama, is done with the French league season after his Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans 92 were swept by Monaco in the finals.

Metropolitans 92 led Monaco by seven points entering the fourth quarter in Thursday’s Game 3 of the best-of-five series, but Monaco outscored Boulogne-Levallois by 14 in the fourth quarter to take home the title, 92–85. It’s the first LNB championship for Monaco.

Despite the loss, Wembanyama was still on point, recording 22 points, seven rebounds and four blocks. And the 7’4” center made a reverse alley-oop look easy one one play.

Although Wembanyama’s time in the French League is over for now as he makes his way to the NBA, he intends to join his home country’s national team in 2024 when Paris hosts the Olympics.

The Spurs own the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NBA draft and are widely expected to select Wembanyama. The draft is slated for June 22.
