Knicks, Donte DiVincenzo Agree to Four-Year Contract, per Report

Former Villanova star Donte DiVincenzo will reunite with college teammates Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart.

The Knicks made their first major move of free agency on Saturday, inking former Warriors guard Donte DiVincenzo to a four-year, $50 million contract, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

DiVincenzo, who declined his $4.7 million player option with Golden State, makes the move to New York to join former Villanova teammates Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart.

After trading away former first-round pick Obi Toppin on Saturday, the Knicks now add a talented three-point shooter and solid on-ball defender to their backcourt.

The Most Outstanding Player of the 2018 Final Four, DiVincenzo shot a career-best 39.7% from beyond the arc last season for the Warriors. Overall, DiVincenzo averaged 9.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game while shooting 43.5% from the field.

DiVincenzo, who won a championship in 2021 with the Milwaukee Bucks, will join a talented Knicks club that finished the regular season with a 47-35 record. After earning the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference, New York beat Cleveland 4-1 in the first round of the playoffs before losing to Miami in six games in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
