James Harden ‘Determined’ on Trade to Start Next NBA Season With Clippers, per Report
James Harden is “determined” to land with the Clippers despite the trade talks’ slow nature and reports he could remain in Philadelphia, according to a new report from The Athletic’s Sam Amick.
Amick’s report from Summer League indicated that the 76ers are interested in keeping Harden despite his discontent with the front office. Given the trade talks’ “sluggish nature,” per Amick, there’s further proof that Philadelphia isn’t satisfied with the available trade packages and would rather keep the disgruntled shooting guard.
Harden’s stance, however, has not changed. Despite his long relationship with president Daryl More—dating back to their days in Houston—Harden remains upset with how Morey handled his free agency entrance last month.
Morey will have much to say about that, as he won’t accept a lesser trade package for Harden just because he wants out. While the 76ers would like to mend the relationship with the shooting guard, it certainly sounds like there’s enough strain on the relationship that it’s past the point of repair.
