Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler debuted a wild new look for the team’s media day on Monday that set the internet ablaze.

Butler’s unique look featured him with straightened hair and a pair of new piercings, one above his eyebrow and one in his nose. For real.

He entered the Heat media room to meet with reporters and was greeted with laughs, but responded “don’t make me break character” as he described his new look as “emo.”

This isn’t the first time Butler has gotten creative for media day. Last season, Butler showed up with dreadlocks and the picture went viral, becoming his profile picture used during broadcasts for much of the year.

This look takes things to a new extreme though, and produced plenty of hilarious reactions.

Well played, Jimmy.
