Dillon Brooks Was Ejected Five Minutes Into First Rockets' Preseason Game, and NBA Fans Had Jokes
It took Dillon Brooks less than five minutes to earn his first ejection as a member of the Rockets, and the regular season hasn’t even started yet.
During the first quarter of Tuesday night’s preseason clash against the Pacers, Brooks was issued a flagrant two foul and was subsequently ejected after appearing to hit Daniel Theis in the midsection while fighting through a screen.
Theis fell to the floor after Brooks’s swipe. When he got up, he was heated and could be seen shouting at Houston’s forward. The game’s commentators were absolutely giddy to see Brooks playing some physical defense.
After reviewing the incident, referees deemed the contact to be excessive, and sent Brooks for an early shower just four minutes and 33 seconds into the game.
Living up to his reputation five minutes into his Rockets career, NBA fans on social media had plenty of jokes about Brooks following his early ejection on Tuesday.
