Bulls’ Andre Drummond Had the Worst Dunk Attempt of the Preseason, by Far
The NBA regular season has yet to start, but Andre Drummond may already have the worst dunk attempt of the year.
During a preseason game against the Raptors on Tuesday, the Bulls center made a great play on defense in the fourth quarter when he picked off a pass on the perimeter for a clean fast break. There was nothing in between Drummond and a wide open dunk . . . except for maybe some rust.
Instead of taking an easy dunk or layup, Drummond elevated far from the basket for a monster tomahawk jam but fell several inches short in embarrassing fashion. The 30-year-old was once one of the NBA’s most athletic dunkers, but those days might be far behind him.
He finished the game with eight points and 13 rebounds off the bench in 20 minutes of action. Chicago would go on to lose 106–102 and will start its regular season on Oct. 25 against the Thunder.
