Victor Wembanyama, the most anticipated NBA prospect in decades, will make his regular season debut on Wednesday night when the Spurs host the Mavericks to kick off the regular season.

The 7’ 4” Wembanyama, a native of France, was selected with the No. 1 pick by San Antonio in June’s NBA draft, and immediately made the Spurs a must-watch team this season after a multi-year rebuild.

Expectations are sky-high for Wembanyama and his unique game. NBA scouts have been hard-pressed to find a comparison for the Spurs rookie, who has the size of a big but an offensive game like an NBA wing.

Wembanyama has shown in Summer League, as well as the preseason, that his presence alone changes the way opposing teams play offense. Multiple opponents have been afraid to shoot when he’s been in the general vicinity of the ball, as his wingspan allows him to impact shots while not being right on top of the opposing shooter.

Wembanyama’s development will be aided by the coaching of all-time great Gregg Popovich, who will certainly get the most out of his rookie.

Here’s how to watch the debut of Wembanyama with the Spurs, slated for Wednesday night against Luka Dončić, Kyrie Irving and the Mavericks.
