Spurs star rookie Victor Wembanyama showed out in San Antonio’s thrilling 126–122 overtime win over Houston at Frost Bank Center on Friday evening.

After compiling 15 points, five rebounds, one block and two steals in a loss to the Mavericks in his NBA debut on Wednesday, the prohibitive NBA Rookie of the Year favorite helped his club bounce back in his first home game.

The talented big man posted 21 points, 12 rebounds, three blocks and two steals en-route to his first career NBA victory.

Wembanyama sent the Spurs crowd into a frenzy when he made a driving baseline layup, tying the game at 111–111 with only :20 seconds left in regulation. From there, San Antonio was able to hold on in overtime and pick up the dramatic victory.

The 7-foot-4 star will now look to lead the Spurs to back-to-back wins when the team returns to action on Sunday against the Clippers at Crypto.com Arena.
