NBA Fans Are Crushing James Harden Over His Cocky ‘System’ Statement After Joining Clippers
Two games isn't nearly a large enough sample size to form a legitimate judgment on James Harden’s fit with the Clippers. But comments made by the former 76ers guard following the trade that sent him to Los Angeles immediately put him under a microscope, specifically in the eyes of NBA fans.
Harden discussed his fit with the Clippers, which was a hot-button topic following the trade, infamously stating, "I'm not a system player, I am a system."
The 10-time All-Star guard immediately received criticism in response to the comment, and after his first two games in Los Angeles, the trolling from critics has only gotten louder. Harden is averaging 14.5 points, 5.5 assists and 5.5 rebounds in two games, a far cry from the 21.0 points, 10.7 assists and 6.1 rebounds per game he posted last season in Philadelphia.
Not surprisingly, fans kept the receipt from Harden’s comments, and appear to be well aware of how his 2023–24 NBA season has gone thus far. That lethal combination has led to some incredible social media reactions.
