Philadelphia 76ers guard Kelly Oubre Jr. was struck by a car in City Center, Philadelphia on Saturday night, according to a report from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Oubre was walking near his residence when he was hit by the vehicle, a team spokesperson told ESPN. He was treated at a local hospital and later released.

ESPN also reported that several representatives from the 76ers franchise, including president Daryl Morey, were with Oubre at the hospital. He is expected to miss significant time due to his injuries, but it is anticipated that he will return this season.

Local law enforcement is investigating the incident.

Oubre joined the 76ers in the offseason on a one-year deal and has played an important early role in the rotation in Philadelphia.

He has started five of the eight games that he has appeared in, averaging 16.3 points and 5.1 rebounds per game on 50.0% shooting in 29.0 minutes per contest for the 76ers.
