Anthony Edwards had little time to celebrate his monster dunk against the Warriors on Sunday night, thanks to a curiously timed call that frustrated the Timberwolves star and NBA fans alike.

Edwards’s latest highlight came late in the third quarter when the guard drove baseline with his left hand and rose up for a thunderous dunk on Warriors forward Dario Šarić, giving the fourth-year pro another poster to add to his rapidly growing collection.

Unfortunately for Edwards, however, the standout moment quickly turned into one of frustration, and a point of contention on social media, after the officials handed him a technical foul for staring down Šarić.

The tech, naturally, garnered a look of disbelief from Edwards, who appeared to wave off the referee’s decision as he walked down the floor.
