LeBron James Shoves Dillon Brooks and Picks up Technical Foul
LeBron James and Dillon Brooks faced off on Sunday as the Lakers took on the Rockets. It was the second matchup between James and Brooks since the latter signed with Houston during the offseason, but things haven’t changed in terms of their high-intensity battles.
That was evident Sunday when James was whistled for a technical foul during the second quarter of the game after shoving Brooks with his forearm.
Brooks was whistled for a reach after he grabbed onto James while trying to evade a screen from Anthony Davis. After James tossed the ball back to the ref, he gave Brooks a bit of a shove with his forearm.
James couldn’t help but laugh after the officials gave him a technical foul. Meanwhile, Brooks had a smirk on his face as he began trotting to the other side of the court.
It was the first technical foul James received this season, and there was perhaps no one more fitting than Brooks to be on the opposite end.
Having had a bit of a back-and-forth during last year’s playoffs, Brooks and James appear to be picking up right where they left off.
Houston and Los Angeles will play two more times this season, with matchups slated for Dec. 2 and Jan. 29.
