Warriors’ Draymond Green Calls Out NBA, Has One Key Issue With Suspension
Draymond Green wants the NBA to let the past be the past and believes that hasn’t been the case when it comes to decisions related to discipline handed down to him. The Warriors forward was suspended for five games after putting Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert in a chokehold and spoke with reporters about the league’s handling of the incident ahead of his return.
“I think to continue mentioning like, ‘Oh, well what he did in the past’—like I paid for those. I got suspended in Game 5 of the Finals, so you can’t keep suspending me for those actions,” Green said while addressing the media.
Green is set to return from his five-game suspension Tuesday, when Golden State faces the Kings for an in-season tournament matchup. The Warriors have gone 2—4 in the past six games since Green was ejected and then suspended for his role in the altercation with the Timberwolves.
