Dallas coaches learned a valuable lesson during pregame warmups ahead of Tuesday night’s Western Conference showdown between the Lakers and Mavericks at American Airlines Center—don’t bet against the shooting skills of one of the NBA’s best shooters, even from half court.

The NBA shared a video on their official page on X (formerly known as Twitter) which starts with the four-time All-Star conversing with several of his coaches at mid-court. Seconds later, the 24 year-old sharpshooter drains a half-court shot that hit nothing but net.

After betting that Luka Dončić would miss the shot, the clip concludes with the Mavericks coaches hitting the floor to perform a series of push-ups.

The star point guard, who is a career 34.2% shooter from beyond the arc, has shown unlimited range in his six seasons in the NBA. Through 21 games this season, Dončić ranks second in scoring at 32 points per contest while guiding a potent Dallas offensive attack that ranks second in the Western Conference averaging 119.9 points per game.
