Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton took a jab on social media at the postgame game ball drama caused by Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Following Antetokounmpo’s career night, in which he scored a career-high and franchise record 64 points, he sprinted toward the Pacers locker room for the game ball. Indiana had planned to keep the ball for rookie Oscar Tshiebwe, who scored his first career point on Wednesday night.

Antetokounmpo eventually retrieved the game ball thanks to Bucks security, but later complained in the postgame press conference that he didn’t even think it was the real game ball that he was presented.

Haliburton proceeded to post this legendary meme on X, which was likely a shot at Antetokounmpo’s postgame comments.

“Cap” is a slang term for a lie. The app, of course, is X (formerly Twitter).

Just when NBA fans thought league drama couldn’t get any sillier, Antetokounmpo found a way to take it to the next level over a game ball.

There is never much love lost between the Bucks and the Pacers, who have been longtime rivals. However, Wednesday night’s incident will certainly bring more juice to future matchups between the two teams throughout the rest of the season.

The two teams next play back-to-back games on Jan. 1 in Milwaukee and Jan. 3 in Indianapolis.
