Pistons Could Pursue Trades for OG Anunoby, Tobias Harris, per Report
The Pistons have endured a nightmare start to the season, currently in the midst of a 22-game losing streak with an overall record of 2–23. With the team struggling so badly, it appears as though Detroit could try to improve its roster in the coming months.
The Athletic’s James Edwards III reports that the Pistons are expected to be active in trade talks, mainly focusing on adding an established forward to their team. Edwards mentioned OG Anunoby of the Raptors and Tobias Harris of the Sixers as two names that could make sense for Detroit.
Anunoby is currently in his seventh season and is a key member of Toronto’s roster, averaging 15.5 points and 4.2 rebounds per game. The 26-year-old has been the center of trade rumors for a while because he has a $19 million player option for next year and can decide to opt out and become a free agent after the season.
Harris is a more experienced option who has bounced around the league since getting drafted in 2011, including a previous stint in Detroit from ’15 to ’18. The forward is currently in the last year of his five-year, $180 million contract with Philadelphia, earning over $39 million this season before hitting free agency in the summer.
