Indiana Pacers coach Rick Carlisle was ejected during the third quarter of Tuesday night’s game against the Denver Nuggets following a no-call on a drive from Pascal Siakam.

After Carlisle was sent back to the locker room early, the Nuggets were awarded a pair of technical free throws.

Both Jamal Murray and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope were eager to take the foul shots, and in order to fairly settle the dispute of who would go to the line, the teammates sorted things out with a quick game of rock-paper-scissors.

While walking toward the free-throw line, Murray and Caldwell-Pope rapidly played a few rounds of rock-paper-scissors, before it was determined that the latter would be headed to the charity stripe.

Caldwell-Pope emerged victorious in the game within the game against Murray, who appeared to have gone with scissors during the decisive third round of their rock-paper-scissors duel. Caldwell-Pope followed that win up by nailing both technical free throws.

Denver went on to win the game against the Pacers, 114–109, with Murray tying Nikola Jokic for a game-high 31 points. Caldwell-Pope had a strong night, too, dropping 14 points, his most since Jan. 7.
