The Golden State Warriors are in need of a shakeup.

The most successful NBA team of the last decade is currently wallowing in 12th place in the Western Conference—two full games, and four games in the win column, behind the 10th-place Utah Jazz. The Warriors increasingly appear to be relics in a conference full of young talent.

According to veteran NBA insider Marc Stein, one Warrior in particular is the most likely candidate to be moved ahead of the Feb. 8 trade deadline.

"If you talk to other teams, the name that comes up the most is still (forward) Andrew Wiggins in terms of who the Warriors might be most open to moving," Stein said on NBC Sports Bay Area on Saturday. "The Warriors have struggled to establish a market for Andrew Wiggins. There just hasn't been a lot of interest even though what he signed was originally considered a team-friendly contract."

Wiggins has two years left on his deal after 2024, plus a $30 million player option for 2026-27. The Kansas product has averaged career lows in points, minutes and assists per game this season.

"He just hasn't played at the level we saw in the Finals in 2022," Stein said. "I don't really think there is one move that can drastically change what's going on with the Warriors this season."
