The New York Knicks appear far from content with the idea of standing pat at the Feb. 8 NBA trade deadline. Since their move to acquire OG Anunoby from the Toronto Raptors, New York has gone 14–2 and jumped all the way up to No. 3 in the Eastern Conference standings.

With the deadline just over a week away, their sights are reportedly set on an intriguing group of potential guards and one big man, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. The headliners of the group include Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson, recently acquired Raptors guard Bruce Brown and Portland Trail Blazers’ Malcolm Brogdon.

New York has been connected to a number of players, including Bruce Brown, Malcolm Brogdon, Alec Burks, and others.

The Knicks also registered trade interest in Utah’s Jordan Clarkson and Kelly Olynyk earlier in January, league sources told HoopsHype.

Brown is reportedly coveted by several teams, specifically being linked to the Los Angeles Lakers, but he’d be an intriguing fit with the Knicks. As for Clarkson, his upside as a scorer makes him arguably the top game-changer in this group, alongside Brogdon, who’s had a strong season in Portland after being acquired in the offseason.

The Knicks remain one of the top teams to monitor as the trade deadline approaches, and it’d be more surprising if they wind up not making an additional deal at this point.
