Kyrie Irving Threw Down a Massive Alley-Oop On the Nets That Left NBA Fans in Disbelief
Dallas Mavericks point guard Kyrie Irving was enjoying himself Tuesday night during a clash against his former team, the Brooklyn Nets.
Irving was firing on all cylinders offensively, knocking down shots from all over the floor. He wasn’t lacking any confidence, either.
At one point during the second half, Irving made a beautiful backdoor cut, freeing himself up for a devastating alley-oop which he flushed down with authority.
Irving is usually known for having a soft touch around the rim. Rather than being one to go for a huge jam, he often showcases his unparalleled body control in order to finish in traffic with a difficult layup. In fact, his one-handed finish on Tuesday night was the first time he’d ever been on the receiving end of an alley-oop dunk, according to Dan Devine of Yahoo!.
NBA fans were in disbelief after seeing Irving elevate for a rare alley-oop, and they had plenty to say on X in the aftermath.
