Knicks Acquire Bojan Bogdanovic, Alec Burks in Trade With Pistons, per Report
The New York Knicks are acquiring Bojan Bogdanović and Alec Burks from the Detroit Pistons in a deal just hours ahead of Thursday’s NBA trade deadline, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported. As part of the deal, the Knicks are sending Quentin Grimes, Evan Fournier, Malachi Flynn, Ryan Arcidiacano and two second-round picks to Detroit.
Bogdanović is enjoying a solid season for the Pistons, averaging over 20 points per game for the second straight season and third time in his career. The 34-year-old is signed through 2025 that includes a partially guaranteed salary for next year.

Burks played two seasons with the Knicks from 2020 to ’22 before joining the Pistons on a two-year deal. The veteran, who has been in the league since 2011, is averaging 12.6 points in 43 games off the bench and will back up Jalen Brunson in New York.
Detroit’s biggest get in the deal is Grimes, a former first-round pick currently in his third season. The shooting guard has played in 162 games in his career, averaging 8.6 points in that span.
Fournier signed a four-year, $73 million contract with the Knicks in 2021 but has failed to live up to that pact, playing in just 30 games since the 2021-22 season. He has a $19 million club option for next year remaining on his deal.
