Victor Wembanyama was sensational during the San Antonio Spurs’ rout of the Toronto Raptors on Monday night, registering the second triple double of his career.

Wembanyama logged 27 points, 14 rebounds, 10 blocks and five assists across 29 minutes in the 122–99 win, a stat line which saw him join some elite company in NBA history.

The 20-year-old became the first player to record at least 20 points, 10 rebounds, 10 blocks and five assists in a single game since NBA Hall of Famer Hakeem Olajuwon did so in 1996 with the Houston Rockets, per ESPN

Additionally, his rare triple double with blocks was the first of its kind since Clint Capela achieved the feat during the 2020–21 season.

The 10 blocks were a career high for the Spurs’ rookie, exceeding his previous best of eight. He paces the NBA in both blocks (153) and blocks per game (3.2), holding a sizable lead in both categories.

As is often the case, Wembanyama provided plenty of jaw-dropping highlights during San Antonio’s win, on both the offensive and defensive ends.

Heading into Monday night, San Antonio had lost seven straight games, but they turned things around in a big way on the road in Toronto. After the win, Wembanyama thanked the Spurs fanbase for their constant support in a brief video message.
